Rock Climbing Classes

Youth Group Adventures


The Youth Group Adventure training programs are popular with Boy Scout Troops, Venture Crews, Girl Scout Cadettes, Seniors and Ambassadors, Church youth groups and other youth groups.    Special one or two day programs consisting of Climbing or Caving are available.    The instruction will include an introduction to the basics of the chosen adventure.    The use of Safety Equipment, technique, ethics and more are covered.    This is for the group wanting a positive experience and correct start into these exciting adventures.    All equipment provided.    For ages 11 and up.    A special reduced group rate of $50.00 per participant expense fee for non-profit youth organizations is available.    The ideal class size is 12 participants.    No Refunds unless class is cancelled by Hi Ventures. Rock climbing I


An introduction to the basics of Rock Climbing.    Use of Safety Equipment, technique, ethics for the person wanting a positive experience and correct start into this exciting sport.    All equipment provided. For ages 10 and up, ages 10 to 12 must have guardian at class.    Course fee $150.00 per participant.    Special reduced group rates for non-profit youth organizations are available.   Special reduced family rates are available for those wishing to learn with their children.    No Refunds unless class is cancelled by Hi Ventures.    Class size limited to three participants.



Rock Climbing II


For the novice climber that intends to pursue the sport further.    Must pass belay, knot, and signal test at the beginning of the class without coaching or instruction.    Class will review and expand on material covered in Rock Climbing I.    Additional elements covered may include rappelling, alternate belays, movement technique, and basic top rope anchors.    All equipment provided. Minimum age 13.    Course fee $150.00 per participant.    Special reduced group rates for non-profit youth organizations are available.   Special reduced family rates are available for those wishing to learn with their children.    No Refunds unless class is cancelled by Hi Ventures.    Class size limited to three participants.



Rappelling


An introduction to the basics of Rappelling.    Use of Safety Equipment, techniques, ethics for the person wanting a positive experience and correct start into this exciting sport.    All equipment provided.    For ages 10 and up, and must have guardian at class.    Course fee $150.00 per participant.    Special reduced group rates for non-profit youth organizations are available.    Special reduced family rates are available for those wishing to learn with their children.    No Refunds unless class is cancelled by Hi Ventures.    Class size limited to three participants.



Advanced Techniques Class

This is for the serious Climber and or Caver.    The course will be tailored to the needs of the students.    Material will expand on all aspects taught in the previous classes.    The material may include rescue considerations and techniques, additional anchoring methods, self rescue and small team rescue techniques.    Course fee $150.00 per participant.    No Refunds unless class is cancelled by Hi Ventures.    Class size limited to six participants.



Boy Scout Merit badge programs are also available.

This is how it all started.    Trying to find a program that is tailored to meet the needs and guidelines required by the Boy Scouts of America can be nearly impossible.    Hi Ventures specializes in in meeting these stringent requirements.    Hi Ventures provides the knowledge and equipment while the Scouts supply the enthusiasm and excitement.    There are four goals of every Adventure.    In order they are Safety, Safety, Fun, Education.
